Curriculum

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework within our nursery. The EYFS sets the standards for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to five years old, supporting a well-rounded and integrated approach to early education. It provides all professionals with a shared set of principles to ensure high-quality childcare and learning experiences for every child.

Our planning is guided by the seven areas of development, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met. This allows children to play, explore, and learn happily while developing essential skills and knowledge across all areas of learning.

By observing children during their play, we gain valuable insight into how they learn and develop. These observations help us plan meaningful experiences tailored to each child, nurturing their interests and supporting their potential. Our planning and observation system is designed to build on children’s natural curiosity, offering opportunities for further exploration within the nursery environment.

We continuously monitor and track your child’s progress. Observations and photographs are recorded in their individual learning journey using our online app, Famly, allowing you to stay connected with their development. We value working in partnership with parents, combining your knowledge and insights with our observations to support your child’s learning.

In addition, we hold regular parents’ evenings, giving you the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and development with our team, ensuring we work together to provide the best possible start for your child.
